Sandra has been an Occupational Therapist for over 30 years. She experienced being a staff therapist in both acute care hospitals and Skilled Nursing facilities, before committing to a profession that serves the long term care industry. In her years of service in long term care Sandra has held numerous management positions with responsibility for overseeing every aspect of rehab service delivery in multiple facilities.
Sandra founded Legacy HealthCare Services in the wake of the transition to the Prospective Payment System with the inherent belief that rehabilitation service delivery to the senior population was going to remain vitally important, despite reimbursement changes.
Mark has been a Physical Therapist for over 30 years, all dedicated to serving the Long Term Care Industry. His work experiences range from a staff therapist, to Area and Regional management positions, to owner of his own rehabilitation company. Prior to joining Legacy HealthCare Services in 2001 Mark held the position of National Director of Rehabilitation for one of the country's largest long term care companies.
Angela is the company's legal, corporate compliance, and chief human resource officer. She is an attorney licensed in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia with over 15 years of private sector and in-house corporate law experience. Angela also is certified by the HR Certification Institute as a Senior Professional in Human Resources. She has vast experience advising companies on all aspects of labor and employment law including conducting comprehensive audits of employment policies, negotiating employment agreements, counseling clients on immigration compliance issues, and rendering in-house training on various topics, such as sexual harassment. In addition, Angela has extensive trial experience defending companies in employment litigation and administrative proceedings - including claims for breach of contract, wrongful termination, discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wage and hour violations, accommodation issues under the ADA, USERRA claims, FMLA cases, and Sarbanes-Oxley and related whistleblower claims. She also has handled federal and state administrative proceedings before the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the U.S. Department of Labor, and various states' Human Rights, Industrial Relations, and Employment Security Commissions. Angela attained a Bachelor's degree with honors from Wofford College and earned her law degree from the University of South Carolina.
Sharon has been with Legacy since its inception. Her responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of the company's payroll, purchasing, and administrative support. Some of Sharon's past employment experiences include small business owner and laboratory manager for a manufacturing company.
Having over twenty years of business management experience, John has dedicated his career to advising and measuring financial performance with various strategies structured for today's business climate. With experience as a Certified Public Accountant in healthcare finance, John and Legacy Healthcare Services, Inc. are able to serve its clients with business finesse to work as partners in the ever changing patient care and reimbursement context.
Phil came to Legacy in 2005 with over 13 years of Long Term Care experience as the General Manager for Sales and Marketing for one of the South's largest providers of medical supplies, pharmacy services and Part B billing services. Phil's responsibilities include new business development, contract negotiations, Marketing, Association relations, and Regional Account Executive training.
With over 15 years of experience in the IT industry Charles is dedicated to the security and reliability of our IT systems. Charles has years of experience implementing and maintaining healthcare IT systems. Our customers, patients and employees take comfort in the knowledge that their information is secure.
Wendy has been an Occupational Therapist for over 8 years. She is a native of Dallas, Tx, with a BS Degree in Occupational Therapy from Texas Woman's University. Her clinical experience includes serving as a staff therapist in the Long Term Care arena and as lead OT in a dynamic subacute medical specialty unit. Her dedication to positive outcomes and quality rehab care propelled her into management. Her experience as a manager began as a Rehab Director in the Long Term Care setting. She joined Legacy in 2002 as an Area Rehab Manager for the North Texas area.
Anne is a native of Denver, Colorado and has been a physical therapist for over 20 years. Throughout her career she has worked in the acute care hospital, rehab and outpatient orthopedic settings. Much of her efforts have been in managing therapists in these arenas. She joined Legacy Healthcare Services in 2006 as an Area Rehab Manager for Colorado.
Melissa graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in OT from the University Of Hartford in Connecticut. She has been an OT for over 12 years with the majority of them being in long term care. Her love for the elderly and her desire to help others drove Melissa into a career in healthcare. Melissa has had 10 years of management experience ranging from site level Rehab Director, Area Rehab Manager and now Regional Vice President. Melissa's main interest areas are in Alzheimer's/ Dementia Care, however she is passionate about all areas of therapy service delivery. Melissa joined Legacy in the summer of 2007 as the Raleigh Area Manager.
Ann's love of science and language led her to a master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1987. In her early career, Ann worked in an in-patient rehabilitation center. There, her love of cognitive rehab was reinforced as she treated patients with brain injury from trauma, stroke, and illness. Since 1996, she has focused her practice in long term care settings, first as a therapist, then as a manager. Ann joined Legacy Healthcare Services as an Area Rehab Manager in 2001. She is inherently curious, loves to learn and to teach.
